The focus of the Complex is the 30
Rockefeller Center, a 70-storey, 850-ft.-high slab skyscraper. Every
building in the complex was finished by in-expensive brown limestone.
The complex is located in Midtown, the large business area of Manhattan
and also adjacent to Fifth Ave, the famous avenue of Manhattan that contains
every first-class brand-name store. Therefore, the main function of Rockefeller
Plaza is the Office Buildings and the great name retail stores on the
Ground Floor. NBC corperation, one of the largest media corporation in
USA, also has the headquarters in Rockefeller Plaza. Christies, the world-class
auction house is also located here. Always and only the best name, has
a base in Rockefeller Plaza. |

Another great spot of the Center is the
Radio City Music Hall which has the long history of entertaining
New York City since 1932. It is a 5,600 seat auditorium, the largest in
New York City. It contains the show of the "Rockets", the line-up girls
that move their legs up and down at the sametime. It is the world wide
famous show. It was closed down for a while but was re-opened in 1998
and has been used for performances until present. |
The center contains a vary of features.
Therefore, people always call it as a "City with in the City".
